My travel style
Of course I enjoy a nice hotel and lie-flat seat, but my favorite part of traveling is finding as many unique local experiences I can. I love to start a trip in a food market and tour a new city with a local. Whatever a place is known for, be it scuba diving, rock climbing or caviar, I want to do it.
Recently returned from:
- Formula One race day in Austin.
- Luxury island hopping in Greece for our first trip without a child.
- Eating our way across Japan over the winter holidays.
- Relaxation with a dose of shark diving in Bora Bora.
Dreaming of...
- Cape Verde + West Africa.
- Norway + Northern Lights.
- Transsiberian Railroad.
- Monaco for the Grand Prix.
What's one thing you can't travel without?
I always carry a $100 bill, because even if I lost everything else, I'd be fine with $100.
Two truths, one lie:
- I spent a night in a Cambodian prison.
- I was a driver in Obama's motorcade.
